The Inn at Dalwhinnie
After meeting Calum Richardson-Dobie and his Wife Ally at the Glamis Countryside Show, we were invited up to demonstrate the pontoon boats on Loch Ericht, 5 minutes from Calum's Hotel, The Inn at Dalwhinnie www.theinndalwhinnie.com. The Hotel is highly recommended and surprisingly modern. They cater for all tastes with an emphasis on the adventure market. Music is strong on the agenda and the Hotel has a great sound system with a fantastic range of music regularly played. On the 29th September, the Hotel acts as host for the Loch Stock extravaganza, www.lochstock.com which will be an event not to be missed - book early!!
Calum enjoys ownership of land on the shores of Loch Ericht where his Guests can enjoy fishing and boating in one of the most scenic areas of Scotland. The pontoon boats were put through various tests and the decision was made to purchase two immediately, with more to follow in the spring. Guests in the Hotel will be able to experience a pontoon boat for the first time on Loch Ericht and will also be able to buy one via the Hotel Shop, which is currently increasing it's stock lines to include more products for the adventure market.
If you are anywhere near the area, do call in or better still, book a night in the Hotel and enjoy Calum's hospitality. Don't forget - Dalwhinnie is officially twinned with Las Vegas (!!) must be worth a look!
